The global reaction to the COVID-19 Pandemic has been unprecedented. Within Florida and Orange County, the community response to ensure the health and safety of its population is extraordinary. To ensure the health and safety of the Shades of Green team and its guests, a temporary closure of the Shades of Green Resort was announced on March 18, 2020. The Shades of Green Resort is not accepting reservations for incoming guests checking in before May 15, 2020.
If you exhibit symptoms consistent with COVID-19, contact your physician. If you are tested for COVID-19 and you are subsequently directed by a Public Health Official to Self-lsolate or Quarantine, immediately notify your supervisor. The Shades of Green Resort has implemented practices to ensure that you are not penalized for complying with the requests of Public Health Officials. Please report the results of your COVID-19 test as soon as available to the Shades of Green Resort.
Work schedules have been posted or will be posted. Although available hours are reduced, employees will be provided at least the minimum hours consistent with their appointment. For example, regular full time employees will be assigned 40 hours per week. Regular part time employees will be assigned at least 20 hours per week. Although schedules may change, the Shades of Green Resort seeks to provide employment.
Shades of Green Resort Department Directors have been provided authority to grant employees administrative leave if such an employee is not essential to the current operations of the Shades of Green Resort. Please be flexible and understanding during this process. If you are sick, do not report to duty. Immediately contact your supervisor to request sick leave. If you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, please immediately report such to your supervisor. The Shades of Green Resort will not discipline employees for use of sick leave.

Before we open on July 1, 2020 and you report to work, all employees are required to take COVID19 Re-orientation training. This is very important training. Many things have changed since March and in order to keep all our employees safe and healthy as well as the guests there are many new health and safety precautions that will be in place. Please take this training seriously.

2. You can watch the 3 videos listed below and report back to your supervisor that you have completed watching the 3 videos. Once completed the first time your Supervisor/Manager sees you they will complete the training, go over a checklist and you will both sign it and it will be returned to HR.
These videos were made by the Hale Koa Hotel, so there is some reference to their property, but the overall message applies to all of us, EXCEPT the Hale Koa Hotel's masks policy. We are on Disney property and must follow their guidelines, at his time hotel issued disposable masks or solid, neutral colored (white, black, gray and beige) may be allowed, depending on your position, you Supervisor will go over that with you.
