Q: I was told that Shades of Green books up quickly, is that true?
A: We do begin to take reservations 1 year to the date in advance to your desired arrival date. Holidays are the most popular times to book a reservation. Of course, the further in advance you book, the better chances of securing a reservation.
Q: What are the eligibility requirements to stay at Shades of Green?
A: There are strict, federally mandated laws regarding eligibility. These can be found under the eligibility drop down menu at the top of each page. Click here for Eligibility page
Q: As a sponsor may I bring additional guests?
A: Yes, each eligible sponsor may book up to 3 rooms under their name (to include the sponsor room).
Q: Can the spouse come without the sponsor?
A: Yes, the sponsor does not have to be present as long as the spouse has a valid dependent I.D. card at check in.
Q: Do you have ADA (American Disabilities Act) rooms available?
A: We do have several ADA room options.
Q: How does Shades of Green compare to the other Disney hotels?
A: Shades of Green would be comparable to the Disney Deluxe Resorts such as the Polynesian. We have the largest standard rooms on property and a variety of restaurants to choose from.
Q: When is the best time to travel to Shades of Green?
A: Shades of Green is a year round destination with plenty to do any season of the year. To avoid the crowds, the best time to visit is during the months of January or September.
Q: Is Shades of Green a family friendly environment?
A: Yes, for our resort guest, we do have interactive water features (slide, play area, etc), playground, arcade style games, computers, children menus as well as children area at our buffet.
Q: Does Shades of Green have transportation to the Disney parks?
A: Yes. Shades of Green provides complimentary bus transportation to and from the Disney theme parks. Bus schedules change often; we have the schedules posted throughout the resort.
Q: Can Shades of Green guests use Walt Disney Transportation?
A: Yes, Shades of Green guests have access to the monorail, ferry boat and the bus transportation that Disney offers on the complex.
Q: Can Shades of Green guests park their vehicle for free at any of the WDW theme parks?
A: No, Shades of Green guests cannot park their vehicle for free at any of the WDW theme parks. However, Shades of Green provides complimentary transportation to the WDW theme parks for registered Shades of Green guests with a current resort ID along with a military ID card and are able to use Walt Disney Transportation for free.
Q: Is there a fee for parking at Shades of Green?
A: Yes, the parking garage is for use by registered guests only and the fee is $7.00 per night.
Q:Does Shades of Green provide transportation from Orlando International Airport (OIA)?
A: No, we do not provide transportation from OIA. Sunstate Transportation provides transportation services to and from OIA with special rates for Shades of Green guests. Their phone number is 407-601 7900 or you can click here to make a reservation.

Q: Should I rent a car?
A: While transportation to most Walt Disney World areas is provided by either Shades of Green or Disney, you may want to rent a car to explore all that Central Florida has to offer. Alamo is conveniently located in the Shades of Green lobby.
Q: How do we get to the other area theme parks?
A: If you do not have a vehicle with you at Shades of Green, we can make arrangements for your travel by bus or taxi. Please contact Shades of Green Guest Services at (407) 824-2437 for more information.
Q: What are the check in and checkout times?
A: Check in is after 1500. Check out is prior to 1100.
Q: Can I purchase my theme park tickets at Shades of Green, even if I am not staying there?
A: Absolutely. You will be asked to provide a valid military ID card to access Shades of Green property and to purchase your tickets
Q: Does Shades of Green sell attraction tickets in advance?
A: We do offer advance purchase tickets to guest with a confirmed reservation. The attraction ticket office will e-mail you about 45 days prior to your arrival date with options of preordering tickets.
Q: Can we pick up our tickets for the Polynesian Luau or Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at the Shades of Green Guest Services?
A: No, tickets for these events can only be picked up from Disney Guest Service locations.
Q: Can I dine in your restaurants even if I do not hold a reservation at Shades of Green?
A: Yes. You will be asked to provide a valid military ID to access Shades of Green property.
Q: What kinds of night time entertainment options are available?
A:Disney Springs, Universal Citywalk, and another twenty or so dinner shows and night spots are all within about 20 minutes of the resort
Q: How can we set up a tee time?
A: The number for Disney Golf is (407) WDW-GOLF. If you are interested in a military rate for golf, tee times can be made up to 30 days in advance.
Q: Are there child care services at Shades of Green?
A: No. Our Guest Services office would be happy to assist you in making arrangements for child care. Please call (407) 824-2437.

Q: Do you have an Exchange on property?
A: Yes. The Exchange provides selected Disney items and sundries. A limited selection of snacks and beverages are also available. Tobacco and Alcohol may only be purchased by military with a valid military ID card.
Q: Are the pools indoor or outside?
A: Our pools are outdoors; however, they are heated and can be enjoyed throughout the year.
